Hi.

Welcome !  I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Beaubourg on a hot June afternoon

Beaubourg on a hot June afternoon

To Say that the Financial District has been transformed in the last 15 years is an understatement. When I started working on 72 Wall Street, there were limited culinary options. One dollar Pizza, deli food or sandwiches were the staple for the 2 minute lunch breaks of the first-year-right-out-of-college "newbies". That obviously soon changed into fine dining as an Underwriter. But even then, it was the decision between a Steak house or an expensive Japanese restaurant all served with pristine black napkins.. We wouldn't want to get lint onto the dark suits of New York.

On a hot June afternoon this year, we decided to have a casual working lunch at Beaubourg (which came highly recommended by a friend). Located in Brookfield Place and overlooking the marina, we were extremely lucky to get a table on the outside terrace to enjoy the summer sun.

The food was absolutely delicious, french-ish, casual and soulful.
