Kashmir Trip

Do you want to build a snowman? The song is stuck in my head for the last few years thanks to Frozen. When I asked my daughter for her birthday wish, she said she wanted to play in the snow like Elsa and Ana. And so we decided to make a trip to Kashmir. Less than an hour’s flight from Delhi, every time we land in Srinagar we pinch ourselves - why don’t we come to this heavenly place more often? Like the rest of India it’s mostly to do with the feeling of safety.

This November we decided to take the chance and did our research. We got reassurances from 100% of the people we spoke to that besides Covid we had little else to fear. Double vax certificates in hand we decided to make the trip - and that too without the nanny. It was an absolute dream! A few nights in Srinagar at the Taj Dal Lake and a few nights in Gulmarg at The Khyber Hotel. I highly recommend it!

I guess the song is right - “Let it go, let it go….”
