6 months ago I decided to throw myself into work. When I say “throw” I mean joining the 5AM Club, reaching work by 8:30AM and getting home a good 10 hours later. And doing this for 5 - 6 days a week.
Can you imagine what was the most difficult part? Not the late night emails, lack of sleep, lack of exercise, lack of socialising… it was ONLY the lack of time with my daughter Sasha-Noor.
Working mom’s deal with the guilt of leaving their children at home in the care of someone else and feeling like they are missing out on an entire world that stay-at-home moms enjoy.
I don’t have any solution for this guilt. If someone does - please reach out! Till then, let’s get back to work.
